About
Hi, I’m Connor.
I’m headed to Zambia in July with Mothers Without Borders. Yeah, I know, I’m not a mother. I’m not even female. But I’m still going. With lots of women. Should be… interesting.
Hopefully they don’t all try to set me up with their daughters. Anywho.
My mother went to Zambia during the fall of 2006 with the same organization. She came back with lots of pictures. One such picture showed two boys drumming on water barrels with huge grins on their faces.
I wanted to drum with them.
And so, I’m going to Africa. No, not to just play drums. I’ll be doing three weeks of service. I’ll be building homes for orphans in the Children’s Village, teaching English and math, planting gardens for widows, teaching reading skills, and a whole bunch of other stuff. It’s gonna rock!
But I need your help. Yes, you. No, don’t click the back button.
As part of my trip, I’ve set a goal to raise $5000 to facilitate volunteer and service efforts in Zambia. The awesome thing about Mothers Without Borders is that there is no overhead costs. None. So 100% of your donation goes straight to funding volunteer work and service projects where it’s needed most in Zambia.
Please consider donating! And yes, it’s tax-deductible! But better than that, it’ll make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I promise.
